    Lunch in the city-famous Cassoulet. Guided tour of the comital castle and the permanent exhibition "the restoration of the City of Carcassonne" in the XIXth Century. Walking around in the mediaeval City of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its craft workshops, typical little streets leading to the double ramparts - Its late empire inner wall was partly reconstructed by the royal engineers at the end of the XIIIth Century. The ancient cathedral of Saint Nazaire and saint Celse, the castle and the outer wall, which doubled Carcassonne's defences when it became a royal seneschalsy, are an exceptional example of the art of building between the XIth and XIVth Centuries. at the foot of the Mediaeval City in a lively part of town, with private enclosed terrace (garden furniture).
